Jump The Wake - How To Guide

To get a killer pop on your wakeboard good technique is necessary. A hard cut is not the most important factor. You must first have a solid technique.

So lets break it down step by step so that you can start getting some major air, you will be tearing it up in no time, even if you have never jumped a wakeboard in your life.

1. cut out of the wake

2. slowly edge toward the wake so that the rope doesn't slack.

3. maintain pressure on your edge away from the boat giving the most pressure a few feet before the wake. keep your body leaning slightly away from the wake with your knees bent a bit. Hold the rope by your waist with your palms down.

4. A few feet before the wake extend your body to a standing position.

5. while in the air don't look down position your wakeboard toward your landing spot. Do not turn your wakeboard so that you are facing one end toward the boat this will cause you to fall as a beginner.

There you have it, you will be ripping it up in no time following these simple rules.
